Subscriptions are billed by Apple, so they are cancelled with Apple: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Lilies → Cancel. Cancelling before the trial ends means nothing is charged, and you keep access until the day you have already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel anything.
Paid on another device, or reinstalled? Open Lilies and tap Restore at the foot of the subscription screen or in Settings.
Every verse is read out of a copy of Scripture stored on your phone and quoted word for word, in the World English Bible or the King James Version. Nothing in the app writes Scripture, and nothing is paraphrased. Both translations are in the public domain.
The daily reading, the seasons and the whole Bible are on the phone, so they work on a plane or in a basement. Only Ask needs a connection.
Notes, highlights and what you leave at the end of a reading stay on your phone. They are not sent anywhere, which also means they are not backed up by us — an iCloud device backup is what carries them to a new phone.
